Lindsay in Valencia

Alright so Valencia is amazing. It is EXTREMELY hot here!! I mean man!! But oh well, I am just sticky and sweath and gross everyday. But I just love it here. The baptism on saturday was beautiful, and our new investigator attended and loved it. She is so awesome, we met her on Friday and she told us she wants to be baptized. That seriously happens here all the time. On Sunday this man came up to us and was asking us questions about God, then he invited us to come over for paella and talk about God. He told us that he doesn´t understand why there are wars and stuff. And he said that he does not have any family or anything. I could feel his lonliness, I am so excited to teach him about our loving Heavenly Father. But I mean, we don´t do anything. We just remain obedient and faithful and things like that happen to us everyday. The Lord has truly prepared these people.

I have to tell you about one of our recent converts. His name is Dorj and he is from Mongolia. He is at the refugee center here, his family is in mongolia. he does not speak spanish or english. when he was originally taught there was a translator, but they moved. So the past few weeks he still comes to church and doesn´t understand anything, and we teach him. We mostly do charades and then have him read from his mongolian book of mormon out loud. We get really creative on how to teach him. We teach him at the refugee center outside, and it is pretty noisy and busy. But when we say a prayer and start the lesson it is like we are somewhere else. The spirit is so strong, and he understands what we teach him. I feel the most indescribable joy after every lesson with him, and during it. Hermana Snow and I just love him so much, and the Lord is truly helping us and him. It is such a special experience everytime we teach him.

But so much has happened and happens that I can´t fit it all in my email. I can´t even pinpoint specifics right now. We don´t have member meals too often, but when we do they make us such delicious food. I love Spanish Food!!

I see miracles everyday out here. My testimony grows everyday. And yes, this work is hard. I don´t think I have ever been this tired in my life. Every night we just crawl into bed dead tired. But it is so worth it. I know each of us has a purpose in this life. I am praying for Jaci, who I know has a very special purpose here. She inspires and lifts others, and the Lord knew she would be strong enough to deal with all that she has gone through. She brings joy to her parents and sister, and to the whole family, well, to everyone she meets. Who knows what she will be able to accomplish in the future, with the Lord anything is possible. She was probably the most valiant out of all of our family in the pre-existence! I pray for Dane as well, and now that little girl. I know that whatever happens, the atonement of our Savior can heal us. He can strengthen us and ease our pains and sorrows.

  1. Did Elder Reed stay in Cauquenes? My Son Elder Morgan was transferred back to Concepcion in an area called Barrio Norte! How is Elder Reed doing?
