This weekend was truly an amazing weekend and I hope that all of you were able to recognize the voice of the Lord directing us through his servants the prophets. Something I have learned to truly appreciate is the council and commandments the lord gives us every general conference. I pray that all of us will take President Eyrings advice to search through every facet of conference, not only the talks but the songs and prayers as well, in order to find out how we can apply the Lord´s commandments into our lives and show him that we trust him and his servants. I don´t think before my mission I understand how significant it is to have a living prophet on the earth today that communicates directly to God and his son Jesus Christ. I know that Thomas S. Monson truly is a seer, revelator, and the authorized prophet of our Lord God here on the earth today. His voice is no different than the voice of the Lord so we should have hung on every word he said, every suggestion he spoke, and every warning he declared. The Lord is communcating with us through priesthood lines and we need to listen.
Truthfully, I learned so much from conference and I am looking forward to studying them further in the next months Ensign, which was a commandment that we should study directly from the prophets mouth, because I didn´t take many notes I just tried to listen and wait for promptings when they came.
But as far as the rest of the week goes it was very difficult. Many of our investigators died without explanation or cause. It is so difficult on the mission to appreciate the gift of agency especially when those you teach and love use theirs poorly. But I do know that the gift of agency is the greatest gift outside of the gift of the holy ghost that we have the privilige of holding. In the end each of us gets exactly what we want because when we truly want something we work and toil and struggle to achieve it. What do you want and what are you all doing to show the Lord that you want it?
