Lindsay had a better week

Anyway, this week was not perfect, but so much better than last week. And Hermana Preston and I are able to be happy even in difficult moments, we have a lot of fun together...but the good kind of fun you have when working hard.

We found this one couple from Romania who are so sweet and humble. The language barrier is a bit difficult, but we know that the Lord will help us. We actually started teaching a couple other people from Romania too. Spain honestly has people from everywhere. We are really trying to focus on finding and teaching families. When we see a family, or someone pushing a stroller, we head right after them to talk to them. Sometimes I feel like I am hunting...I know that sounds weird, but it is always in our minds to find and talk with people. I look back at when I first started my mission and I was so nervous to talk to people, but now I have no reservations, these people need to hear the gospel! And yes, we have been rejected so many times in so many ways, but it is all worth it when you find that one person who wants to listen. I am sure the Lord wants to see if we will be diligent and have the faith to keep going.

We have zone conference on Thursday in Valencia, and I am excited to learn how I can improve as a missionary. One thing I have truly learned on the mission is that life is honestly not a race, and there is no destination point that we reach and then can say we are done. It is a progression. Even after this life we will still progress. And we will make mistakes, but we have to just keep moving forward. There have been so many people I´ve taught that think baptism is the end, and that there is all this preparation and then they can be baptized, and then everything will be perfect and they´ll be good to go. Baptism is the GATE by which we must enter to walk the road to the kingdom of God. It makes me sad when people think they have to know the bible by heart or have years of studying, and then they are baptized and never have to worry about enduring to the end. Baptism is just the gate we enter, and after that we can truly begin to progress and learn, and keep repenting because we will keep making mistakes. Anyway, I know that you know all that.

But I love you all so much. I hope that you are reading and studying the General Conference talks, they are essential for us today!! If we are following the words of the prophets, seers, and revelators, we will know what the Lord expects of us. It is such a joy to read the words of general conference!! I love you all so much!
