We have had some really amazing lessons this week, I mean just so wonderful. One woman, who has a fecha, has really horrible nightmares, and has her whole life. And she has some other hard things she has dealt with, and that is how we even came into contact with her, her friend told her to meet with us. So the first visit we did not think she was really that interested. But then she called us up after cancelling our following appointment and said she had been reading in the book of mormon and really liked it, and she and her husband agreed she should be baptized. So she has a fecha, her husband should have one soon, but we have only seen him once. But anyway, the first and only time we have seen her husband so far we were talking about the priesthood and also that she can receive a blessing. And we have been trying to think of ways we can show our investigators how much we love them. With Cinthia, one of the things we wanted to do was bring her a picture of Christ. So we brought a big one of Christ with little children. When we gave it to Cinthia she started to cry. Then her husband explained that the little pass along card she had, with christ on it, she held every night as she fell asleep, because of her horrible nightmares. Then he started to cry as well. She was so happy to get that picture. It is amazing that things we think are so small, can mean so much to someone else. It is so important to do everything we can to show our love to people. We really must do as much service as we can, even if it is something so small. Another women cried when we gave her a book of mormon, and that is something we give to everyone automatically! When we serve others, our Heavenly FAther is happy. Everyone is a child of God, and we must treat them as such.
I loved President Monson´s talk on gratitude. Like he said, we have so much, we need to think about what we have, not what we lack. I know that showing gratitude is something I need to be better at. But mom like you said, conference was so amazing! So amazing! I loved it! It was a bit sad to not watch it with the family, but the questions and concerns I had going into conference were all answered, and left me so edified.
