Really quickly, today I accidentally put hydrogen peroxide in my eye instead of contact solution...it hurt really really bad. My companion was freaking out and thought we should go to the doctor, but my eye is better now. And oh, that picture of me at zone conference is soooo horrible, I saw it after and yes, I know I must learn not to slouch, it was just an awful photo and I knew you were going to tell me to sit up straight ha ha.
And I am very happy mom that you get to teach primary, I love little kids! That is the one sad thing as a missionary, I can´t hold kids or really do much to help in Primary or anything :(
Well, zone conference was amazing, I love zone conferences!! Hna. Preston and I were so excited to put into practice what we had learned. So, that night we had the feeling to go visit one of our investigators who we hadn´t planned on seeing for a few days. Well, we put into practice all that we learned earlier that day and a miracle happened...WE SET A BAPTISMAL DATE WITH HER!! Her name is Elizabeth, she is from Ecuador, and she had not been progressing. But luckily she was able to feel the spirit and have the desire to be baptized. The thing is, we didn´t even really do much. In the middle of the lesson she told us that she felt like her heart was burning, and that it was very good, because she used to feel that when she would read the book of mormon and pray. Then, she told us that she feels as though God is knocking on her door but she isn´t answering, and it is probably because she needs to be baptized. We were like, what!!?!?! So we set the fecha for the 19th of February but she asked if we could do it sooner! So she will be baptized on the 12th of February!! It was so amazing!!
We also set a fecha with this women from Romania, but, we found out that she might not be married, so we will have to pray for a miracle.
I am so greatful to know that when we are obedient and diligent, the Lord blesses us. This area is still pretty tough, we have a lot of moments where we have to choose to become discouraged or have faith and optimism. I don´t think I have ever been as mentally and spiritually tried in my life as I am here Benidorm. I am truly learning how hard missionary work is! Before, it was hard, but things fell into place and just worked out so much more nicely and the way I wanted. Here, I am seeing how the Lord tries us, but how we progress through these trials. I don´t have to worry about a job or school right now, but oh my goodness, finding people to teach and baptize is not always as easy as you might think! But it is so worth it. If we spoke to 49 people who all rejected us, but the 50th one said yes, its ok, it is worth it!! I have seen the change this gospel brings in people´s lives. I have seen what baptism and the Holy Ghost do to people, and it is ALL worth it!
I love you all so much! Thank you for your love and support
