Hello Mom,
Ok, so not a very exciting story, but...we were at singing with angels to say goodbye and hello to the old/new missionaries. I put my things down for A SECOND, and they were right next to me, but they were stolen. Everything, was stolen, because I had everything in that bag, even my bible was stolen. My camera, iPod, drivers license, DNI, church and home credit card. But my passport wasn´t in the bag so I still have that. It was my first day in Barcelona, wonderful welcome present. I was just looking around for my bag, President Hinckley went around and was looking in the garbage cans, ha ha, he is so nice. But it was my fault, I shouldn´t have left my bag. And now I don´t have any pictures of my mission, so you don´t have to feel bad about losing my other memory card, because I got my whole camera and the memory card stolen. Hermana Hinckley was very impressed that I didn´t cry or fall apart about it, she said others have done that. I said that falling apart wouldn´t bring my stuff back.
But luckily, I had just received a letter from Gran and Grandpa, which had some money in it, so until I can get my new card from the church I have at least a little bit of money! Thank you gran and grandpa!
Tell me about your companion. What is she like and what is her name? My companion, as I told you last week, is Hermana Fernley. She is from Utah and very nice. She is very shy, but so sweet.
Tell me about your recent interview? I had interviews awhile ago, it was great.
Are you in more active area? WEll, my new area had a few baptisms a couple months ago, but as of a week ago, when I got here, almost no investigators. But, we are in a big ward, and I know that we will find people to teach, and I am excited to work with the members to find more people. Because having the members find is the most effective way to do missionary work. I promise you all that someone you know right now is prepared to listen to the message of the Restoration, make a list of people you know and pray about which one you should talk to about the church. have the faith that you are surrounded by people who are ready! Because honestly, the Lord places us around people for a reason, you all know someone who will accept the gospel!
What's your apartment like. It is newer, and cute. I don´t have to use a butano, yay!
I am sad that because of transfers I do not get to see Ovidio´s baptism this weekend. He was so very sad that I was leaving, but I am so happy that he will be baptized. And Luz will be baptized soon as well! We are waiting on a couple of things but she is so excited to be baptized! I was sad to leave Benidorm because of them, but it is ok, the Lord wants me here in Barcelona.
I love you all so much!
