Wow I can´t believe both Stevens are already home but it is true time flies, it is August already! Happy early birthday to Connor and Tyler!! This week has been amazing! We worked so hard and the Lord blessed us so much, especially with being able to see the fruits of our labors. This Sunday I had to seal an anointing for the first time in Spanish! I have done a lot of anointings but I hadn´t had to give the actual blessing until yesterday. I was praying so hard becuase I hadn´t studied giving the blessing only the anointings. But I can testify that the priesthood truly is the authority to use the power of God because as soon as I placed my hands on this man´s head my mind became clear and I knew what I needed to say. My spanish wasn't perfect but everything that needed to be said was said and a miracle occurred. The spirit was so strong and I speak about this generally because it was a sacred experience. It is so important that we remain worthy and fully give ourselves to the Lord so that we can know his will and it the right moment execute it. The Priesthood is real and this is truly the Lord´s work. Something that I have been contemplating this week is how we need to apply the principles of the gospel into our lives. We go to church every week and hear the same things because it isn't only about gaining a knowledge of how we can change but really changing every aspect of our lives in accordance to the life of our Savior. Even doing good deeds isn't enough. Any good thing that you do grudgingly or with a discontent heart is the same as you not doing the good thing in the first place. Neither help you become more like the Savior. How we truly become Christlike, how we truly become converted is through changing what we are on the inside our desires. If we can change all of our desires to be in harmony with God then his image will be upon our countenances during judgment and he will be able to distinguish exactly who his children are.
