Lindsay gets to stay in Valencia

But my thanksgiving was good, it was a normal day, except for our lunch hour I was able to make everything, thank you so much mom for sending all of the stuff. And it was Hermana Gonzales´s first thanksgiving. For the pumpkin pie we did not have every spice, and there weren´t any pre-made pie crusts...so ha ha, I ground up some crackers (by hand) and that was our crust. It actually came out ok still. We set two baptismal dates on Thanksgiving, so it just added something else to be thankful for. But Hermana Gonzales and I told eachother what we were thankful for, I said to be on a mission and have the support of my family who I love so much. It was a bit hard for me to not be with you all, but I know this is where I am supposed to be.
One of our investigators is the mother of a recent convert, Carla. Carla´s dad is a less active member, but since her baptism is coming back to church. They all live in one room, probably the size of connor´s room. The rest of the piso is occupied by 11 other people. We felt to teach them about keeping the sabbath day holy, and at the end of the lesson they told us how much they wanted to go to church, but that they do not have money for the bus anymore, they barely have any. They were crying, I was crying, but hermana gonzales and I promised them they would see a miracle this week if they come to church, even walking. They came to church walking. I know that this week they will see a miracle. Going to church, and not only that, keeping the whole sabbath day holy is a commandment, and so important. My testimony of that grew so much after seeing them willing to come, even though they had to walk probably 2 hours in the cold. But they know the Lord will provide. I wonder if I truly understood the importance of keeping the sabbath day holy before my mission. And even more, going to church and the blessings we are promised if we put the Lord first and go to church. The lord before work, before everything. The people that we teach are so humble, they give up so much to keep the commandments. It makes me want to be even stronger, because I haven´t really had to give up much to keep the commandments.
